- Notes for Potential Coordinators
Every year we encourage small block parties. Coordinators consist of homeowners associations with no Crime Watch program; Crime Watch program, but no homeowners association; and neighbors just wanting to have a block party. Many Homeowner Association's (HOA) had small block parties for an hour or so and then would come together in their pool or park areas and have a large community event (or the reverse). This was very successful. We will encourage that again this year.
The Police and Fire will attempt to visit all parties. The schedule is based on first come, first serve in registrations. The visits cannot be guaranteed due to manpower and public safety call load, but strong efforts are made every year.
