Texas SmartScape Classes

The Water Utility Department has coordinated with Tarrant County Master Gardener Association to host a series of Texas SmartScape Classes. Whether you’re designing a garden for your new home or just adding a few new plants to your yard, Texas SmartScape can help. It gives you the tools you need to plan your garden, select the right plants, and care for them in a manner that saves you time and money. Planting and maintaining a Texas SmartScape also helps protect our streams and rivers and ultimately conserving our water resources.

2023 Texas SmartScape Class Schedule

• Gardening Around the Year: Sept. 16-23, on-demand, online class
• Gardening for Butterflies: Oct. 19, 4 p.m., in-person class
• Backyard Composting: Nov. 18-25, on-demand, online class
• Pruning and Tool Maintenance: Dec. 2-9, on-demand, online class
