WALKtober Challenge

No PUNs about it, this is going to be a WALKtober to remember! Join our challenge and walk 31 miles this month as we kick start the holiday season with a renewed sense of health and fitness, plus earn a special prize pack and exclusive pin. To help get you started, we're hosting meetups to help you find new walking buddies, classes to explore the parks while learning new things, and even spooky walks along the trail for something totally new!

Magnificent Monday Midday Mile

October 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 at Noon
Meet at Rose Park every Monday from Noon to 1 p.m. and walk a mile with friends, neighbors, and new faces! Perfect for squeezing a little exercise into your workday, enjoying some fresh air with little ones in a stroller, or just any excuse to start your week off right!
Free to attend, no registration necessary.

Senior Lifestyles WALKtober Challenge

October 2-31
Walk & Talk at the MAC provides a safe, climate-controlled space for seniors to get exercise and socialize three days a week. This month, we're tracking their laps and awarding prizes to our biggest WALKtober winners! Walk & Talk is free for MAC members 55Y+; membership starts at just $10/year. Contact the MAC to sign up, (817) 728-3680.

Walk & Talk Town Hall with MPFDC

October 7 at 9 a.m.
Enjoy an easy morning walk at Rose Park and a unique opportunity to chat with the Mansfield Park Facilities Development Corporation board members. Curious about projects, interested in seeing new development, or any other thoughts & ideas you want to share? Bring it on! Get a workout and get involved in the community at the same time!

Nature Walk

October 21 at 11 a.m.
Nature is all around us, especially in our gorgeous parks! Join us for a free guided walk along the linear trail starting at McKnight Park East. Learn how to identify plants and creatures, discover native plants growing wild in our parks, and ask any nature/eco questions of our expert staff!
Free to attend, no registration necessary.

Trail-o-ween

October 28 at 6 p.m.
Peek-a-boo, treats for you! We'll have crafts, photo ops and a fun (not-so-spooky) night walk along the small loop at McKnight Park East. Bring your little monsters and perfect punkins for a fun, family-friendly walk.
