Splash Pads
Sun's out... fun's out! Cool off in one of our three splash pads, located in parks throughout the city!
All splash pads are free, with no tickets or entry fee required. Parents must remain onsite and supervise children at all times; no lifeguards or park personnel are on duty.
NOTE: To save water, the splash pads do not run continuously and operate on a timer. If you arrive at the park during open hours, locate the button to active the system and turn on the water. It will be a blue or red pole located within the water feature with a silver button on top.

How much does it cost to visit the splash pad?
Nothing! All Mansfield park splash pads are free to visit.
Can I rent the splash pad?
The splash pads are not available for private rental, but you are welcome to rent a pavilion at Chandler or McClendon Parks for a party or event. The water area will be open to the public, but you will have space for guests to sit, enjoy treats, and celebrate together. Click here for information about pavilion rentals.
Why isn't the splash pad on all the time?
Splash pads require considerable more staff attention than playgrounds or other amenities, including multiple water quality checks throughout the day. The schedules are designed to give families as many opportunities as possible to use the feature within the warmest seasons while also allowing our crews to keep up with all other park maintenance duties. We are thrilled to now offer three different locations with splash pads to reduce crowds and give you even more chances to play!
Why can't my dog come in the splash pad, he swims in our pool at home?
Health department regulations do not allow any animals in public water features. You are welcome to swim with your pet in your own pool, but we cannot guarantee the health of all animals who may come to the park, and the safety of the children playing is our number one priority. If animals enter the water, regulations require the system to be shut down for a deep sanitization precaution, spoiling the fun for everyone. Please leave pups at home when you come to play!
Are there any other rules I should know?
Splash pads use highly technical aquatic systems in order to keep the water safe for kids to play. Do not bring ANY substance into the water area, as it may clog or disrupt the plumbing and/or mechanics and cause a failure that results in a shut down of the entire park. This includes food, ice cream/frozen treats, sand, dirt, rocks, or any small toys. The splash pad is NOT a shower to rinse of dirt or sand after playing, as sand is one of the quickest ways to clog and impact the pipes. Please follow all rules so the feature can stay open and enjoyed by everyone all summer!
Do parents have to swim also?
No, parents do not have to get in the water with kids but MUST remain onsite and supervising their children at all times. Splash pads are not staffed and do not have lifeguards on duty.
