Mansfield Animal Care & Control Facility
The Mansfield Animal Care & Control Facility is a City shelter to hold, care for and adopt out impounded strays and owner-released animals. Our purpose is to promote safe neighborhoods for people and their pets.
The following estray was impounded by the Mansfield Animal Care & Control Office on September 25, 2021: one (1) bay equine on the 700 block of W. Broad St., Mansfield, Texas 76063. This animal will be transferred to a non profit agency and is being held at Mansfield Animal Care & Control, 407 Industrial Blvd., Mansfield, Texas, if not claimed within 15 days of this posting. Anything other than what is listed will be considered on a case-by-case basis, requiring supervisor approval.
Emergency calls responded to 24 hours a day
The following is a list of animal issues that would qualify for emergency response by an animal control officer:
- aggressive animals
- bite cases
- extreme cruelty cases (if the animal is in peril)
- injured animal (officer discretion pending injuries)
- loose livestock
- sick animals (officer discretion pending illness)
- wildlife inside a residence (not in yard or garage, unless extreme circumstances)
Non-Emergency calls responded to during business hours
The following is a list of calls that we will not be able to respond to after hours:
- deceased animals
- loose animals
- loose wildlife outside residence
- lost or Found animals
