Museum Tours

Mansfield Historical Museum

Explore Mansfield's history with displays and artifacts that tell the story of your town from the early settlers in the 1850s through the mid-20th century. Take a self-guided tour of the Mansfield Historical Museum to see exhibits on education, commerce, the city founders, and the lives and culture of the people of Mansfield.

The two floors of displays at the Mansfield Historical Museum are professionally designed and showcase a diverse collection of:

  • Clothing
  • Furniture
  • Period maps
  • Photos
  • Tools
  • Other artifacts

We regularly change many of the displays, so it is likely that you will always see something new.

Man House Museum

The homestead of Mansfield founder Ralph Man was restored to it's original mid-19th century look by the City of Mansfield in 2020. Take a 30 minute guided tour of the Man House Museum to see artifacts from the time period, similar to those the Man family would have used when the house was new.  Learn more about the founders of Mansfield and the impact they had on the development of the community. Also visit the restored 1865 barn while experiencing a landscape filled with historic plants and flowers.
